Iheanacho Offered To UK-Based Agency By Nigerian Agent With Close Ties To Manchester City
Published: April 12, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Manchester City starlet Kelechi Iheanacho was introduced to United Kingdom-based agency Stellar Group by a Nigerian intermediary with close ties to The Citizens, Frankie Stephen.
As things stand, the ex-Golden Eaglets star has not been offered fresh terms by City despite breaking into the first team because of the ongoing dispute between First Eleven Management and Stellar Group which has not been resolved by the FA.
Stephen, who is based in the UK, wanted to use Iheanacho as a pawn to make inroads into Stellar Group, with the catch being that he has offered them one of the best talents from Africa and will begin to represent the agency in Africa.
But influential agent Jonathan Barnett was not deceived as one of his trusted aides Dapo Olowu handles the affairs of the agency in Africa and ruled out replacing him with Frankie Stephen.
It is confirmed that the 19-year-old Iheanacho renewed his representation agreement with First Eleven Management in the summer of 2015, with the Nigeria international appending his signature to a two-year agreement.
