Ike Opara Narrowly Misses Out On MLS Team Of The Week

Former United States U23 international Ike Opara narrowly missed out on making the ceremonial Team of the Week for last weekend’s matches played in the American top-flight.
On his first appearance for Sporting Kansas for close to a year, the defender assisted goalkeeper Timothy Melia post a shutout as the Wizards posted a 2-0 road victory over New York Red Bulls.
The editors of MLSsoccer.com have taken notice of his contribution and named him among the seven substitutes in the Team of the Week for week six.
Fanendo Adi(Portland Timbers),Kennedy Igboananike(Chicago Fire) and Sunny Stephen(Real Salt Lake) were not considered by the panel.
