Elijah Adebayo Stars As Fulham U21s Earn 3-0 Win Against Wolves
Published: April 14, 2016
Three players of Nigerian descent were in action on Wednesday as Fulham posted a 3-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the U21 Premier League Division 2 at the Molineux Stadium.
Dennis Adeniran and Elijah Adebayo made the starting XI of the Londoners, while defender Hakeem Odoffin made his sixth consecutive start for Wolves U21s since joining the club from Barnet in the winter transfer market.
Adebayo doubled the lead for Fulham in the 25th minute when he scored from close range after Joshua Walker put a cross into the box.
Hakeem Odoffin would have reduced the deficit in the early minutes of the second half but saw his shot saved by goalkeeper Norman.
While the former Barnet starlet was in action for the entire contest, Fulham pair Adeniran and Adebayo were replaced in the 62nd and 76th minute respectively.
