In the Europa League, Sparta Prague failed to progress to the semifinals after losing 6-4 on aggregate to Villarreal at Generali Arena (Praha). Kehinde Fatai worked a ninety-minute shift in attack for the Czech Republic club.
In a thriller at Anfield, Liverpool saw off Borussia Dortmund over two legs, thanks to their 4-3 win in the second leg. England youth international Sheyi Ojo made the Reds 18-man squad but was an unused sub. Jordon Ibe was not involved.

The former United States U20 international was on target in the 37th minute, then subbed out five minutes from time.
Both Philip Njoku and Faith Friday Obilor started and played 90 minutes of Inter Turku’s 2-1 away win over HIFK. Njoku found the net in the 16th minute.

Ex-Enugu Rangers star Chikeluba Ofoedu reached double digit for goals for the second consecutive season in the Turkish First League after converting a spot kick in the 39th minute of Samsunspor’s 2-1 win against Goztepe.
Elsewhere, Nigeria internationals Michael Odibe and Christian Obodo played the entirety of Concordia Chiajna’s 1-1 draw with Dinamo Bucuresti in the League Cup.
