Rennes Old Boy Echiejile Will Not Face Former Club,Suspended By LFP

The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) has suspended Elderson Echiejile for two matches after reviewing last weekend’s game between Lille and Monaco in which the Nigeria international was sent off.
The left-back has been automatically ruled out of the games with Marseille(April 17) and Rennes(April 24).
Echiejile was issued a straight red card at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Villeneuve d’Ascq) for a foul on Sébastien Corchia .
In 36 appearances in the French top-flight prior to the contest against Lille, the former Sporting Braga star had never been dismissed but was yellow-carded seven times.
Echiejile has recorded 20 appearances in the Ligue 1 this term from a possible 33 games.
