Alfred Effiong,Augustine James Obaje Recognized At MFPA Awards

Two Nigerian players were recognized at the 2016 Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) awards ceremony held at Xara Lodge, Rabat on Monday.
Malta international and Balzan striker Alfred Effiong was named in the Team of the Season for the Premier League and led the frontline alongside Jhonnattann (Valletta) and Matteo Piciollo (Floriana).
The 28-year-old attacker Augustine James Obaje, who turns out for Senglea Athletic, won the MFPA Best First Division Player Award.
The gala ceremony was attended by former Belgian player Jean-Marc Bosman, and he called on the Maltese Federation to scrap transfer fees for players out of contract.
