Birmingham City Boss Hints Nigeria Target Solomon-Otabor May Start Vs Cardiff City
Published: May 04, 2016
Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett has hinted that Viv Solomon-Otabor will be given a run-out in the club’s final game of the season against Cardiff City on Saturday due to injuries to a number of first team players.
Solomon-Otabor made his professional debut for the Blues in the current campaign and has appeared 21 times in the second-tier of English football this term.
“The obvious one will be Charlee Adams, who going into next season it would be nice to learn a little bit more about whether he can handle a game from the start,” said Rowett to the club’s official webpage, bcfc.com.
“Viv (Solomon-Otabor) would be another one that comes into that category.
“We watch the Under 21s in training every day, and we watch them in the Under-21 games and at the minute Charlee and Viv are the standout ones who would be able to come into the group and start the game.”
Born in London, the 20-year-old Solomon-Otabor trained with the Nigeria U23s last summer.
