Amobi Okugo Joins Fanendo Adi, Akinjide Idowu At Portland Timbers

Major League Soccer outfit Portland Timbers have announced the signing of former United States U23 international with Nigerian heritage Amobi Okugo on undisclosed terms.
Okugo, who turned 25 in March, was without a team since he was waived by Sporting Kansas City, but was loaned to New York Red Bulls II in April by the MLS.
The California native bagged his first professional contract with Philadelphia Union, after playing for IMG Soccer Academy and UCLA Bruins.
The defensive midfielder cum central defender has 135 league appearances under his belt in the American top division , scoring five goals (seven assists).
He joins Fanendo Adi and Nigeria youth international Akinjide Idowu at Portland Timbers.
