Taye Academy Cries Out : Kanu Wants To Take Iheanacho From Me Because Of His Position

Kennedy Ezenwere, the proprietor of Taye Academy, has dismissed the statements credited to Nwankwo Kanu and the president of his academy which claimed that Kelechi Iheanacho represented Papilo Academy before transferring to Manchester City.
Ezenwere has stressed that the Super Eagles rising star has no business whatsoever with Kanu and his academy, adding that the ex-Arsenal legend had approached him to be installed as a patron of Taye Academy but he rejected his advances.
“Kelechi Iheanacho has been my boy since he was ten years old, who is Papilo? Kanu has been disturbing me to this day that he wants to be a patron of Taye Academy, ” a furious Kennedy Ezenwere told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I housed Kelechi, sent him to school, paid his school fees including his fees for WAEC. Everybody in Imo States knows he is my player.
“Kanu wants to take the boy from me because of his position. Why did he not use the name of Papilo Academy to play at the World Cup instead of Taye Academy?”
When contacted, Kanu’s elder brother who is based in Owerri, refused to comment on reports that Iheanacho once played for Papilo Academy.
