English Premier League newcomers Hull City have confirmed that Chuba Akpom will return to parent club Arsenal following the end of his loan spell at the KC Stadium.
The England youth-teamer had sent a message to the Tigers faithful via social media shortly after they gained promotion to the topflight, and the club have now revealed that they will not acquire his rights from the Gunners.
The 20-year-old Akpom played 41 times for Hull City last term, and weighed in with seven goals.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko will have to seek pastures new in the forthcoming season as he has not been offered a new contract.
