Dele Alli Wonder Goal Vs Crystal Palace Wins Spurs Goal Of The Season Award
Published: June 03, 2016
England rising star Dele Alli has won Tottenham Hotspur’s Under Armour Goal of the Season award for the 2015-2016 campaign.
The 20-year-old’s strike against Crystal Palace topped the poll ahead of Harry Kane’s effort versus Arsenal, while his goal against Leicester City on August 22 came third.
Dele Alli received 52.6 percent of the votes, more than double the votes allocated to his Three Lions teammate Harry Kane, who garnered 21.3 percent of the votes.
With six minutes left and the scoreboard reading 1-1, the former MK Dons starlet flicked the ball over his head before volleying past goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
Alli had earlier won the Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season award.
