Mikel Brother Goes AWOL At Heartland To Force Move To Ifeanyi Ubah; Offered N600,000 Salary Monthly
Published: June 04, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Mikel Obi’s older brother, Ebele Obi, has not reported for training for the past one week in his bid to force a move to FC Ifeanyi Ubah in this transfer window.
Obi was outstanding in the first half of the season, posting five shutouts, and this has attracted attention of the Nnewi Millionaires but they scored an own goal by tapping up the goalkeeper and were promptly reported to the League Management Company by Heartland.
Contrary to reports, no official bid has been tabled by Ifeanyi Ubah, however, the billionaire did contact Heartland through his lawyer after he was reported to the LMC that he was interested in the services of Ebele Obi.
Initially, the Naze Millionaires slapped a N10 million price tag on the head of Obi, but the latest is they are no longer interested in selling their prized jewel.
Ebele Obi has agreed personal terms with FC Ifeanyi Ubah and would pocket N600,000 every month if the transfer eventually goes through.
