Odion Ighalo’s goal against Everton in the 83rd minute on the opening day of the 2015-2016 season has been picked among the top five best opening day goals.
Ahead of the release of the Premier League fixtures for next season, the official website of the Hornets selected the most eye-catching goals scored by the players on match day one.
The Nigeria international put Watford 2-1 up, firing past Tim Howard after wrong-footing Stones and evading a challenge from Phil Jagielka, following his introduction in the 74th minute.
The former Granada and Lyn Oslo star scored 14 more goals in the English top flight after that strike at Goodison Park, Liverpool.
Watford are away to Southampton in their first game of the 2016-2017 campaign on August 13.
