Published: June 15, 2016
Late Stephen Keshi’s first son is surprised that a certain group of people have fixed a date for the burial of the former Nigeria skipper without the approval of the family.
Stephen Keshi Jnr, who is based in the United States, was at the Nigeria Football Federation secretariat on Wednesday morning, accompanied by ex-Inter Milan striker Victor Obinna and US–based chemist and friend of late Keshi, Victor Ugoh.
“I just came into Nigeria on Tuesday night, and we read in the papers today that somebody has fixed a date for the burial, ” Keshi told thenff.com.
“I am shocked like my sisters and my brothers. Since our father died, nobody has spoken to us about how he died, and we have not even seen his corpse. Yet, someone is fixing a date for his burial!”
He thanked all the football stakeholders, including the NFF, Federal Government, the National Assembly, for their words of encouragement since his father passed on.
Meanwhile, Keshi’s daughter, Ifeyinwa and husband, who are based in North Carolina, USA also flew into Nigeria on Tuesday, the NFF has informed.
