Victor Osimhen Agent Denies Manu Garba After Paying His Hotel Bills
Published: June 17, 2016
Victor Osimhen’s intermediary, Yusuf Shira Ayila, has sensationally claimed that he has never spoken to Manu Garba, after allnigeriasoccer.com reported that he paid the Golden Eaglets coach N5 million to invite five of his players to the Nigeria U17s screening.
But it appears that the agent is talking out of both sides of his mouth, as Manu Garba was in Lagos to watch his team Ultimate Strikers in a screening exercise specially organized to scout for young talents.
Also, it’s one hundred percent confirmed that the hotel Manu Garba lodged at during his scouting trip to Lagos was paid for by Shira and his partner, Ariyo Igbayilola.
“I have never spoken to Manu Garba one on one. I was surprised to see him in Lagos during our screening.
“He did not invite any of my players to the Golden Eaglets, I personally took them to the camp uninvited. Where do you expect me to get N5 million from to pay as a bribe?” Shira Ayila told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Yusuf Shira Ayila was relatively unknown until ex-Golden Eaglets star Victor Osimhen was sold to Wolfsburg at the start of this year for a huge transfer fee.
