Manchester City Loanee Nwakali Issues Come And Get Me Plea To Nigeria U23s Coach
Published: June 19, 2016
Speaking through one of his representatives, CEO of ASJ Academy Emeka Amajiriaku, Manchester City loanee Chidiebere Nwakali wants to be given an opportunity to train with the Nigeria U23s ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.
A number of his teammates in the Golden Eaglets class of 2013, including Musa Yahaya, Saviour Godwin, Taiwo Awoniyi and Zaharaddeen Bello have been capped at U23 level, and Kelechi Iheanacho will follow suit if Man City permit him to play in Brazil.
“Chidiebere Nwakali deserves an U23 National Team call up, every soccer loving Nigerian knows that Chidiebere is a good player,” said Amajiriaku to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He has played 11 games for IK Start in the league and won man of the match awards in three matches, we know his worth. I call on coach Samson Siasia to give him a chance in his team.
“The boy did pretty well in the U17, he deserves the opportunity. If other of his teammates were invited, why not accord him same to prove himself.”
