Rizespor Permit Godfrey Oboabona To Represent Nigeria In Rio
Published: June 26, 2016
In the wake of the imminent departure of Porto midfielder Mikel Agu from the Dream Team VI camp in Abuja, manager Samson Siasia has received good news from another player named to his 35-man roster for the competition in Brazil.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Turkish Super Lig side çaykur Rizespor have permitted Godfrey Oboabona to defend the colours of Nigeria at the Olympic Games.
With the availability of Obi Mikel (Chelsea) and Odion Ighalo (Watford) for the Games still covered in mist, Oboabona is highly favoured to make the 18-man roster as one of the experienced players if he shows up at the training camp in Atlanta, USA.
The 25-year-old’s contract at Rizespor will run out next summer and he will be hoping to put himself in the shop window at the Olympic Games.
