Published: July 06, 2016
Two players of Nigerian heritage - Jamal Balogun and Akinwale Odimayo - recently penned scholarship deals at Championship side Reading.
They were inducted at a ceremony held at the Madejski Stadium last Friday along with 12 other promising talents.
The contracts the two youngsters appended their signatures to will run out at the end of the 2017-2018 season and both will represent the U18 team of the Royals in the forthcoming season.
Meanwhile, central defender Gabriel Osho has graduated from the U18s squad, and this suggests that he is in line to play for the Development squad next term.
Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu graduated from Reading’s Academy Team before penning a professional contract in 2007.
