Published: July 12, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Vitória Guimarães SC have pulled out of the race to sign Mikel Agu as a result of financial issues.
The defensive midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Estádio do Dragão in the summer transfer window as he is not in the plans of first team coach Nuno Espírito Santo.
Paços de Ferreira are delving into the loan market and have approached Porto for the Nigerian to join the club for the 2016-2017 season but talks are yet to be concluded.
Ahead of joining his new employer, Mikel Agu, who is the third choice defensive midfielder, is presently training with Porto.
