Ahmed Musa Earns Rave Reviews On Leicester City Debut
Published: July 20, 2016
Nigeria striker Ahmed Musa was handed his Leicester City debut by Claudio Ranieri in his side’s 2-1 win over Oxford United on Tuesday.
The summer signing was introduced in the 61st minute - one of the six changes made by the Italian manager.
Musa almost fired the Foxes in front six minutes after he came on when he unleashed a fierce shot which was saved by goalkeeper Eastwood.
The 23-year-old did not find the back of the net in his first appearance for his new employer but showed how quick he is and received positive reviews from the fans and media after the contest at the Kassam Stadium.
The first goal came from Chris Maguire in the 14th minute, before Gray and Schlupp struck to give Leicester City their first win in pre-season.
Ahmed Musa and his teammates will face Efe Ambrose’s Celtic on Saturday at Celtic Park.
