Brazilian Economist Selected To Officiate Nigeria U23s Game Against Denmark

Brazilian referee Sandro Meira Ricci has been appointed by Fifa to officiate the quarterfinal tie between Nigeria and Denmark at the Olympic Games on Saturday evening.
The 41-year-old will be assisted by compatriots Emerson de Carvalho and Marcelo Van Gasse , while Diego Haro from Peru is the fourth official.
Ricci has a degree in Economics and has worked for the Getulio Vargas Foundation, the University of Brasilia, Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
The Brasilia native, who speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian, officiated three matches at the 2014 Fifa World Cup, showing nine yellow cards and one red card.
His hobbies include reading, watching movies and running.
