Exclusive: Nigeria U23 Poster Boy Etebo Dismisses BOGUS Espanyol, Celta de Vigo Link
Published: August 16, 2016
Reports linking Nigeria U23 international Oghenekaro Etebo with possible moves to Spanish sides Espanyol and Celta de Vigo in the summer transfer window are wide of the mark.
The CD Feirense attacking midfielder has seen his stock rise dramatically in the last two weeks or so, thanks to his haul against Japan in the Dream Team’s opener at the Olympic Games.
According to Etebo’s bonafide representative, no contact has been made with the Spanish clubs or their representatives.
“Etebo is fully focused on the Olympic Games and has decided not to speak about his future. He is not interested in any bogus deal, ” Etebo’s rep told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“There has been no inquiry from Espanyol and Celta de Vigo.”
The 20-year-old is Nigeria’s leading scorer in Brazil, with four goals to his name from three matches.
