Published: August 26, 2016
Liverpool have announced via their official webpage that Taiwo Awoniyi will spend the whole of the 2016-2017 season on loan at NEC Nijmegen.
The deal will be ratified if the Nigeria U23 international is granted a work permit by the Dutch authorities.
Incidentally, Awoniyi had to spend his first season as a professional at German club FSV Frankfurt, for whom he scored one goal in fourteen appearances.
The 19-year-old was one of the four players included in the Nigerian U23 National Team alternate roster at the 2016 Olympic Games, but had to depart their training camp in the United States to sort out his future.
