Exclusive: Manchester City Striker Kelechi Iheanacho Dismisses Barcelona Interest
Published: November 13, 2016
Manchester City wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho has dismissed reports linking him with a switch to Barcelona next summer, and has stressed that he has not received any offer or had any contact with the Nou Camp side.
The Nigeria international is on the same wavelength as his dad, who had earlier informed this website that he’s unaware of interest from the Spanish champions.
“Kelechi Iheanacho has not had any contact with Barcelona, he is committed to Manchester City. The report that Barcelona want to sign him is paper talk, ” a source close to Iheanacho told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Iheanacho, 20, will fly back to Manchester on Sunday night after representing the Super Eagles in their 3-1 win over Algeria in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
He is Nigeria’s top scorer in 2016 with four goals to his name.
