Exclusive: 36 Lion Boss Gafar Confirms Ayomide, Olarenwaju Have Signed One-Year Provisional Contracts With Anderlecht
Published: November 17, 2016
36 Lion CEO Liameed Olawale Gafar has confirmed that two highly-rated Nigerian youngsters have penned one-year provisional contracts with Belgian powerhouse R.S.C. Anderlecht.
Kehinde Olatunji Ayomide and Qudus Suleiman Olarenwaju will be offered multi-year contracts by Anderlecht if they impress the coaching staff at the end of this season, the same arrangement that was in place when Standard Liege signed Nigeria international Imoh Ezekiel from 36 Lion back in January 2012.
“They will both play for the U19 team of Anderlecht, we give these (36 Lion) players to good clubs who put them in their programme, ” Gafar told allnigeriasoccer.com from Europe on Thursday night.
“They have been offered one year provisional contracts, if they do well they will offer them a better contract. Imoh started like this at Standard Liege before he was offered a three-year deal.
“Anderlecht have to see if they will adapt well to their new environment.”
Al-Arabi striker Imoh Ezekiel played on loan at Anderlecht last season, before starring for the Dream Team VI at the Olympic Games in August.
