Europa League Draw : Troost-Ekong Admits He Learnt How To Defend From Tottenham Coaches

Gent star William Troost-Ekong is relishing the prospect of facing Tottenham Hotspur in the knockout rounds of the Europa League following the draw that took place on Monday afternoon.
Dutch-born Troost- Ekong was on the books of Spurs for two years before moving to FC Groningen, and admitted the White Hart Lane outfit were an essential part in his development as a defender.
“Playing in England was a very important part of my development. I signed my first contract at Spurs and learnt how to defend from some of the best coaches,” Troost-Ekong told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Also, training with the first team was also a good experience to measure myself with some of the best players in the Premier League.”
The Nigeria international is expected to be registered for the knockout rounds of the Europa League after spending the whole of 2016 on loan at Norwegians FK Haugesund.
