Nigerian Wonderkid Josh Maja Bags Brace As Sunderland Hammer Burton Albion

Sunderland are through to the fourth round of the prestigious FA Youth Cup after a 4-1 rout of Burton Albion at Eppleton CW on Thursday night.
Young Black Cats manager Elliott Dickman named two players of Nigerian descent in his starting XI - Josh Maja and Joel Asoro - just twenty four hours after they were on the bench for the first team in the Premier League clash vs Chelsea.
Josh Maja’s offensive qualities was a feature of the opening half and he leveled matters on 23 minutes after the opponents had taken the lead in the third minute.
Sweden U21 international Joel Asoro’s shot was parried by goalkeeper Hawkins but Maja fired home the rebound.
On 74 minutes, the Nigerian youngster gave Sunderland a three-goal cushion, controlling the ball before netting his second of the game.
Asoro was replaced with 14 minutes left on the clock and Maja played the full game.
