Son Of Former Nigeria International, Wheeler-Omiunu Eligible For MLS SuperDraft

American-born midfielder of Nigerian descent Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu has been extended an invitation to the adidas MLS Player Combine which begins on Sunday, January 8 in California.
The 22-year-old was among thirteen more players added to the 53 initially selected by Major League Soccer.
Wheeler-Omiunu majored in Economics at the prestigious Harvard University and started all fifteen games for the soccer team in 2016, and also defended the colours of Seattle Sounders U23s.
His father played for the youth team of Nigeria while his grandfather represented the senior national team, according to the Boston Globe.
The 2017 MLS SuperDraft will be held in Los Angeles on Friday, January 13.
