Mom Watches Lookman Score On Debut; What Lukaku Told Him Before Entering The Pitch
Published: January 20, 2017
England U20 international Ademola Lookman has stated that Everton top star Romelu Lukaku has been mentoring him and offering advice since his arrival from Charlton Athletic.
One of the lasting images of last weekend’s game against Manchester City was the Belgium international encouraging the teenager just before he stepped out onto the Goodison Park pitch for the first time in his career as an Everton player.
“Rom has been great with me since I arrived at the Club and that’s something like someone who’s a big brother would say to you really, ” Lookman said to evertonfc.com.
“Before I even came on he told me that if I got a chance, I should take a shot on goal, wherever I was on the pitch.
“To get that from him was a bit of encouragement. ”
Lookman’s mum Adebimpe and sister Ololade were among the spectators at Goodison Park on Sunday.
“We went out on the pitch and took some photos,” Lookman said.
“The Club photographer was there and kindly took some pictures for us. After that we just went home and chilled really.”
