Published: January 20, 2017
According to a report from Swedish outlet, Sports Expressen, Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi is on the verge of completing his switch to an unnamed Chinese club.
Allsvenskan side AIK had been in talks with Obasi over extending his stay in Stockholm, before he finally resisted their overtures.
AIK had wanted to offer the Nigerian a new deal after tallying six goals (four assists) to his name in the last three months of the 2016 season.
The 30-year-old has played for Lyn Oslo, Hoffenheim and Schalke 04.
Obasi’s very good pal, John Obi Mikel, will represent Tianjin Teda in the 2017 season.
