Chelsea Looking To Loan Out Promising Nigerian Defender, Ola Aina
Published: January 27, 2017
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte announced at Friday’s press conference that talented Nigerian right back Ola Aina might be farmed out on loan before the transfer window closes for business next week.
Despite impressing the Italian gaffer at pre-season training, the England youth-teamer has seen his first-team opportunities limited in the current campaign, with Super Eagles star Victor Moses ahead of him in the pecking order.
“For the rest of the season Ruben and Chalobah will for sure continue to stay with us, ” Conte told reporters.
“For Ola, there could be the possibility to go on loan, but there are four days to see the situation.”
Aina, 20, has managed five appearances for the Blues this season, and has made the matchday squad for competitive matches 14 times.
He has a valid contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
