Ex-Flying Eagles Defender Opens Rotherham United Account; Adeyemi Nets Screamer
Published: February 15, 2017
Ex-Flying Eagles star Semi Ajayi opened his goalscoring account for relegation-threatened Rotherham United in their 3-2 loss to Huddersfield Town on game week 32 in the Championship on Tuesday.
The central defender gave the Millers the lead after 11 minutes when he fired home from close range.
Midfielder Tom Adeyemi was the second player of Nigerian descent to get on the scoresheet when his shot from 25 yards went straight into the net.
The goals from the Nigerians were not enough as strikes from Lolley, Kachunga and Smith secured promotion chasers Huddersfield Town their 19th win of the season.
Ajayi, who joined Rotherham United in January on loan from Cardiff City, played his fourth league game while Adeyemi suited up for the 19th time.
