Uwakwe Stars As Chelsea Thrash Brighton 13-0, Aina Will Not Face Wolves
Published: February 18, 2017
Tariq Uwakwe was in action for Chelsea U18s on Saturday afternoon as they recorded a 13-0 win over Brighton in the U18 Premier League at Cobham.
Though the attacking midfielder did not register his name on the scoresheet, he gave a good account of himself.
On 13 minutes, Uwakwe had a chance to break the deadlock, but his shot was easily stopped by goalkeeper Tom McGill.
Chelsea led by five goals at the break thanks to goals from Gallagher, Taylor-Crossdale (2), St Clair and McCormick, and scored eight more goals in the second half.
The Young Blues were already crowed southern section champions before today’s fixture against Brighton.
Meanwhile, England youth international Ola Aina will not be on parade against Wolves in the fifth round of the FA Cup as the defender is presently in action against Man City in Premier League 2.
