Hibernian Defender Efe Ambrose Comes Close To Scoring In First Game For Seven MonthsEfe Ambrose returned to the pitch for the first time in seven months as Hibernian lost 2-0 to St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Championship on Wednesday night.

Shortly after Hibs confirmed the signing of the central defender, manager Neil Lennon named him in his starting eleven for the away game at Love Street.

If Efe had been inactive for seven months before stepping out onto the pitch, he didn’t show any sign that he was lacking match fitness, having gone the distance.

The Nigeria international went close to opening the scoring in the 25th minute but missed getting his head on a cross from McGinn.

A brace from Stelios Demetriou secured a big win for St Mirren.
