Former Super Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi is expected to continue delivering the goods for Portland Timbers in the 2017 season, with the official website of Major League Soccer naming him among the top five strikers in the league.
MLS has ranked the top five players in the American top-flight at every position and Adi was chosen as the second best target striker.
The ex-Dynamo Kiev and FC Copenhagen frontman made the shortlist alongside Bradley Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls), Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Dom Dwyer (Sporting KC) and Cyle Larin (Orlando City).
Adi has been consistent and productive since his arrival in Major League Soccer, with 41 goals scored in 90 games in the regular season.
