No Response From Premier League Teams; Super Eagles To Be Divided Into Two Teams For Monday Game
Published: March 27, 2017
Barring any last-minute development, the Super Eagles will be playing among themselves on Monday evening in a practice game in the wake of the cancellation of their friendly with Burkina Faso.
And it is thought that is why the Nigeria Football Federation handed late call-ups to Chelsea defender Ola Aina, Queens Park Rangers starlet Eberechi Eze and Sunderland teenager Josh Maja, just to make up the numbers.
NFF Official FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon, has been stressed out in the last few days trying to arrange a warm-up game with a Premier League team and the likes of Millwall and Leyton Orient, but his efforts appear to have been unsuccessful.
“The coach wants us to train together more to see how we blend. We are going to play two sides against ourselves this evening and everybody goes home after that, ” one of the Super Eagles players in camp told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation have invited the media to a session with the team at the Hive Stadium, Barnet after the practice game, which kicks off 1700 hours.
