Iwobi Confident Arsenal Will Secure Champions League Qualification For 20th Straight Season
Published: April 03, 2017
Alex Iwobi is optimistic that Arsenal can finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season.
With ten matches left in the Premier League, Arsene Wenger’s side trail fourth place Manchester City by seven points following their 2-2 draw with their rivals on Sunday at the Emirates.
“We still believe that we can be in the top four, and that we can be in the title race as much as we can, but we’ll take it step by step and see where we end up at the end of the season, ” Iwobi told arsenal.com.
Commenting on the point against City, Iwobi said : “It was a very tough match and we were behind twice, so I guess we have to be satisfied with that.”
The Gunners have featured in the Champions League for nineteen straight seasons, and Iwobi has played in two for the London team, most recently the loss to Bayern in Munich.
