Arsenal Boy Wonder Nwakali Overcomes Fatigue To Help MVV Qualify For Playoffs

Nigeria U20 skipper Kelechi Nwakali passed a late fitness test ahead of MVV Maastricht's league match with RKC Waalwijk on Friday, May 5.
The Arsenal loanee missed last week's trip to Volendam after complaining of fatigue, but it later emerged that he was rested because of the synthetic pitch at the Kras Stadium.
Against RKC Waalwijk, the number ten was introduced in the 68th minute, and had a lot of work to do, with teammate Kuipers sent off just before the end of the first half.
Kelechi Nwakali has been utilized 29 times in the Jupiler League this season, and was on target against De Graafschap and FC Den Bosch .
MVV will face SC Cambuur in the semifinal of the playoffs in De Geusselt on Thursday 18 May, the return follows three days later in Friesland.
