Spanish champions Barcelona are running the rule over Nigeria U23 international Usman Mohammed.
Allnigeriasoccer.com broke the news back in February that the central midfielder was attracting interest from an unnamed Spanish club and was due to travel to Spain.
Now sport.es has exclusively reported that Usman has been recommended to Barcelona by retired Nigeria international Tijani Babangida, whose younger brother Haruna represented the 24-time Spanish champions for seven years.
Manager of Barca B, Gerard Lopez observed the former Taraba United skipper in a test game that took place last Saturday in Ciudad Deportiva.
Usman Mohammed starred for Nigeria at the 2016 Olympic Games, and helped the country win a bronze medal.
