Two Players Of Nigerian Descent Named In Germany Squad For World Cup

Coach Guido Streichsbier has announced the 21-player German junior squad for the FIFA U 20 World Cup in South Korea (20 May to 11 June), and has included two players of Nigerian descent in the squad list.
The Nigerian players included on the roster are defender Jordan Torunarigha (Hertha BSC) and striker Emmanuel Iyoha (Fortuna Dusseldorf).
Jordan's father, Ojokojo Torunarigha, played for the Super Eagles before he retired, and his elder brother, Junior, represents Dutch club Fortuna Sittard, who are handled by Nigerian manager Sunday Oliseh.
Jordan Torunarigha has racked up ten appearances for Germany youth teams since his debut for the U18 squad against the United States in December 2014.
Emmanuel Iyoha is a very important member of Germany's U20 squad, with five caps to his name since he debuted against Italy in January 2016.
1981 champions Germany will trade tackles with Venezuela, Mexico and Vanuatu in the group stage of the Fifa U20 World Cup.
