Confusion Over Togo Friendly, Eagles To Depart Paris On Proposed Date
Published: May 11, 2017
The Togolese Football Federation have announced via official sources that their national team will face Nigeria in an international friendly on Thursday, June 1.
What doesn't add up is that the pronouncement is not coming from the Nigeria Football Federation, and the proposed date of the friendly is the same date the Super Eagles are due to return to Abuja.
The Super Eagles will camp in Paris from 27th to 31st May, with the possibility of playing a second friendly match against an unnamed opponent on the 31st of May, before their departure.
''I am not aware of the friendly with Togo, I just saw the information on their (Togo FF) website, '' a Nigeria Football Federation insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Nigeria Football Federation have sealed a friendly match with Corsica on May 26.
