Liverpool-bound striker Dominic Solanke, Tottenham Hotspur's Josh Onomah and Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori have expressed their joy after England qualified for their first World Cup final in over fifty years following their 3-1 win over Italy in the Fifa U20 World Cup on Thursday.
Three players of Nigerian parentage Solanke, Ojo and Lookman played key roles against the Italians, with the Chelsea man bagging a brace, the Everton winger tallied his third goal in South Korea, while the Liverpool starlet was involved in the build-up to two goals.
Solanke tweeted : ''Into the final!! Come on boys one more win!🦁🦁🦁 couple more goals ⚽️.''
Chelsea defender Tomori, who was outstanding in defense, said : ''🇬🇧3-1🇮🇹. WORLD CUP FINAL BABY😭🤗. ONE MORE STEP, ONE MORE!🦁🦁🦁 #U20WC.''
Onomah, who is available for the final after sitting out today's game due to suspension, added : ''Cmonnnnn the boys!!!!!!❤🦁⚽️''.
In the race for the Golden Shoe award, Dominic Solanke is one goal behind Italy's Riccardo Orsolini, while Lookman has three goals to his name.
