Update On Man City Striker Iheanacho's Proposed Move To West Ham
Published: June 20, 2017
Manchester City are playing hardball over the sale of Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho to West Ham.
At the moment, there is still a long way to go before the Citizens and the Hammers can agree on a buy-back clause, and the Super Eagles star prefers to remain at the Etihad Stadium and fight for a first team shirt next season.
''The problem with Iheanacho, like you say, is that City have demanded a buy-back clause to be part of the deal,'' a West Ham insider told mcfcwatch.com.
''The player himself doesn’t want to leave and this is also seen as a way of appeasing the transfer. The buy-back clause is said to be quite low...
''A bid has been made and we are still keen but further negotiations are still required.''
Iheanacho's situation is also being looked at Crystal Palace, Leicester City and a couple of clubs in the German Bundesliga.
