Sporting KC Defender Opara Named In MLS Team Of The Week

Sporting Kansas City defender Ike Opara's outstanding display against LA Galaxy on Saturday has landed him a spot in Major League Soccer's Team of the Week.
The former USA U23 international, who remains eligible to turn out for the Super Eagles, scored a wonder goal in the 35th minute, which is in the running for the Goal of the Week.
Opara recorded five duels won, five clearances, one interception, and completed 52 of 58 passes against LA Galaxy.
In a 4-5-1 formation, the 28-year-old partnered Toronto FC star Drew Moor in central defense.
Opara has been recognized with Team of the Week honours five times this season.
