The Five Strikers On Chelsea's Wanted List Named, Including Eagles Star
Published: July 18, 2017
After missing out to Manchester United in the race for the signature of Belgium international Romelu Lukaku, Premier League champions Chelsea have turned their attention to other targets.
The Metro says the strikers being considered are Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alvaro Morata, Andrea Belotti, Christian Benteke and Sergio Aguero.
Though former Liverpool striker Benteke had a frustrating spell at Anfield after his big money transfer, he impressed last season at modest Crystal Palace, with 17 goals in all competitions for the Eagles.
The Blues have been linked with Sergio Aguero but Man City are unlikely to sell one of their top stars to a rival club, and his wages may be a stumbling block.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is in the market for a top striker as Diego Costa has been declared surplus to requirements.
