(Photo Confirmation) Official : Super Eagles Midfielder Completes Move To Burton Albion
Published: July 18, 2017
Nigeria international Hope Akpan has completed his transfer to EFL Championship team Burton Albion.
It is a good move for the central midfielder as his past club Blackburn Rovers were relegated from the second-tier at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, and he did not renew his contract with the club.
Akpan has penned a one-year contract with Burton Albion, and could make his debut for his new employers tonight against Solihull Moors in a pre-season fixture.
The 25-year-old started off his career with Everton, and has also defended the colours of Hull City, Crawley Town and Reading.
Born in Liverpool, Akpan has four international caps for the Super Eagles.
