Nigerian Whizkid Kelechi Nwakali Training With Arsenal Reserves Ahead Of Loan Move
Published: July 24, 2017
Nigeria U20 international Kelechi Nwakali is training with Arsenal Reserves as he bids to step up his fitness ahead of a loan move.
The Gunners higher-ups have not yet reached a decision on the club he'll spend the 2017-2018 campaign after the attacking midfielder failed to secure a work permit.
''Kelechi Nwakali is still in London, training with the U23 team of Arsenal. Arsenal have not yet decided the club he'll be loaned out to next season,'' a top source close to Nwakali told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 19-year-old Nwakali joined Arsenal on a five-year deal in the summer of 2016 after starring at the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup.
He spent the whole of last season at MVV Maastricht, and has targeted a temporary switch to a top-tier team in one of the big leagues in Europe in the forthcoming season.
