Chelsea, Manchester United Battling It Out To Sign Bayern Star Renato Sanches
Published: July 28, 2017
Chelsea are battling it out with fierce rivals Manchester United for the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.
The Sun, making reference to Corriere dello Sport, says Chelsea boss Conte asked Carlo Ancelotti about him after the midfielder impressed in the friendly defeat to Bayern at the weekend.
Manchester United have always maintained a keen interest in Sanches after missing out on his signature to Bayern last summer.
The Bundesliga champions are not interested in selling the Portugal international but will consider farming him out on loan to an interested club.
Renato Sanches's preferred destination is AC Milan, who are interested in signing him on loan for two years and have started negotiations with Bayern.
