Done Deal : Watford End Their Association With Nigeria International Midfielder
Published: July 28, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Premier League club Watford have ended their association with Nigeria international midfielder Henry Uche Agbo.
The highly-rated young defensive midfielder is departing The Vic without making a single appearance for the Hornets due to his inability to obtain a UK work permit.
As previously reported by this website, Standard Liege beat the gun when they announced the signing of Uche earlier this month on a season-long loan because they were still in talks with Watford and Udinese higher-ups.
At the end of negotiations, Watford insisted on an outright sale of Agbo and the deal was rubber-stamped by the English club after Standard Liege met their asking price of two million euros.
Uche is in line to make his competitive debut for Standard Liege when they face Mechelen in a league game on Sunday, July 30.
