Manchester United recorded a routine 3-0 win over Norwegian club Vålerenga at the Ullevaal Stadion (Oslo) on Sunday evening.
Vålerenga's Nigerian wonderkid Chidera Ejike fulfilled his ambition to play against Manchester United stars Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku after making the starting line-up.
It was stalemate until a minute before half-time when Marouane Fellaini opened the scoring with a header.
Belgian star Lukaku doubled the Red Devils advantage on 47 minutes with a powerful header that went past goalkeeper Sandberg, before McTominay added more gloss to the scoreline with 20 minutes remaining.
The 19-year-old Chidera Ejike is thought to have been one of the most impressive Vålerenga players as he spent 80 minutes on the pitch before he was substituted.
